One-Stop Solution for Pen Repairs
I work to completely restore fountain pens while honoring the preservation of their history. This involves a safe and thorough disassembly of the pen, full cleaning of the nib and feed (often ultrasonically), and removal and replacement of any consumable parts (sacs, seals, etc.). My goal is to ensure the pen is returned to its original function as a writing instrument.

Assessment and Tier Pricing
Just like any repair service, pen repair is both subjective and objective. There are real processes involved (objective), but significant variables exist (subjective). As I result, it becomes challenging to offer a one-size-fits-all price that covers the unknown. Yes, a basic lever filler is just that, basic. However, one can run into exceptions that elevate the repair time significantly, especially with regard to the care and experience needed to disassemble (and reassemble) a stubborn pen without damage. This is true of nearly every filling system. As a result, I have developed a tier pricing system so that you only pay for what it takes to restore your pen. No more, no less.

We Warranty our Work
Complete restoration and nib adjustment services are completely warranted for one full year for normal writing function given they are properly cared for through proper pen hygiene (e.g. safe inks, and regular cleaning when necessary). Vintage pens are tools that were historically bought for life and used daily. They work best when one *safe* ink is used repeatedly rather than continuously cleaning and changing inks. They are not designed for shimmer inks, or other high saturation (or particulate) inks.
Tier Pricing Breakdown
TIER 0
Initial Assessment (Free)
To correspond via email and determine what you need (eg. consultation) there is no fee. However, the pen in question may need to be physically in hand to provide the best assessment in which case the owner / customer is responsible for all shipping costs
TIER 1
Exterior tune-up ($30)
Your pen will be flushed and cleaned WITHOUT being disassembled and the nib will be adjusted (realigned, tuned, and smoothed). The cap and barrel will be lightly cleaned.
TIER 2
Interior tune-up ($40)
Your pen will be carefully disassembled so the internal filling mechanism can be serviced. This involves cleaning out sac remnants and fitting a new latex rubber sac. The nib, feed, and section will also be thoroughly flushed in an ultrasonic cleaner.
TIER 3
Full-service ($60)
Tier 1 and Tier 2 services combined plus polishing of the pen
